Public Works Director
The City of Littleton, CO (population over 44,000) is seeking a Public Works Director who is a talented, innovative leader and proven manager. A hands-on and forward thinking engineer well versed in delivering CIP and development projects is required for this position. The new Public Works Director should be collaborative and capable of working as a member of the Public Works Department executive team. The ideal candidate will be committed to developing the managerial skills of staff, focusing on such issues as effectiveness, responsiveness, budgeting, time management, and managerial values. A typical candidate will have broad engineering experience and knowledge of the development code. Engineers with a managerial background and experience with succession planning will be highly valued. Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, and five (5) years’ experience including supervisory and engineering roles. A Colorado Professional Engineer’s License or out of state license with the ability to obtain a Colorado license is required. The annual salary range for the Public Works Director is $119,000-$155,600; placement within this range is dependent upon qualifications.
