Finance Director
The City of Arvin, a vibrant, growing community of 20,000 residents is seeking a team-oriented and collaborative leader to fill its Finance Director position. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on Finance Director with a breadth of financial services experience and skill in strategic planning. A leader who imparts a service orientation to staff, inspires teamwork, builds relationships, maintains a positive and productive work environment, utilizes a participative management style, and has a can-do attitude is sought. A Bachelorís degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, finance, accounting, or a related field, including a minimum of twenty-four (24) semester units of accounting is required; a Masterís degree in business or public administration, finance, or a related field or equivalent professional certification such as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Public Finance Officer (CPFO) from the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) is preferred. Candidates must possess seven (7) years of experience in a responsible financial capacity involving responsibility for the planning, organizing, and execution of a varied financial program in governmental accounting and financial reporting. The salary range for the Finance Director position is $98,802-$128,741 annually; placement within the range is dependent upon qualifications.
